Introducing Skinsorials.. New Bare Minerals Skincare Range

When I found out Bare Minerals were re launching their skincare range I was intrigued but not necessarily excited. I found in the past their skincare to be good but nothing that grabbed me, but then I got to try the new range and I was instantly excited. The textures, smells, ingredients and packaging are amazing and still keeping in line with the ethos of Bare Minerals of using naturally derived ingredients.

The star of the show is the Long Life Herb, found on a small island off Japan. This herb is used in the Skin Longevity Vital Power Infusion, which is a face serum to reduce fine lines and wrinkles and rejuvenate the skin, watch this video to see more on this amazing ingredient....

Here's the low down on the 4 cleansers, 4 moisturiser and 1 treatment serum that make up this range:

PURE PLUSH^™ Gentle Deep Cleansing Foam £18

This is a really creamy foaming cleanser for all skin types, containing Rosemary, Elderflower and Mineral Rich Sea Salts. It has a subtle scent of grapefruit and feels really luxurious on the skin. It says to use a pea sized amount and I think this is quite important, if you use too much of this product it can feel a little 'squeaky' as you wash it off. Perfect for people who like a quick facial wash.

CLAY CHAMELEON™ Transforming Purifying Cleanser £18

A clay based cleanser with Papaya, Bamboo, Brazilian Red Clay and Mineral Rich Sea Salts. This helps to deep cleanse and detoxify but leaves the skin feeling soft and supple. This is a wash off cleanser, massage into dry skin, work in with damp fingertips and rinse off. This is good for all skin types and my personal favourite cleanser!

OIL OBSESSED™ Total Cleansing Oil £22

Cleansing Oils have become so popular and its easy to see why, they are great for dry and oily skin types, they remove make up so quickly and effectively without stripping the skin. Bare Minerals offering contains; Borage, Sunflower, Bilberry and Cucumber Oils and has a subtle scent of Lavender and Tangerine. I've found this oil great as my first cleanse to remove make up followed by the clay cleanser.

BLEMISH REMEDY™ Acne Treatment Gelee Cleanser £17

As the name suggests the is a gel cleanser for acne/breakout/oily skin containing peppermint, ginger and salicylic acid. This cleanser leaves the skin feeling so fresh and clean, I would probably use this cleanser during phases where I'm getting breakouts I would say to only use this all the time if you have very problematic skin.

SKINLONGEVITY™ Vital Power Infusion £45

As I said at the beginning this is the star of the show! This is like a serum so you would use underneath your normal moisturiser so would fit into any skincare routine. This product containing the Long Life Herb is designed to:

BARE HAVEN™ Essential Moisturizing Soft Cream £30

Empowered by mineral moisture technology this soft moisturiser for normal/dry skin contains a blend of peptides, ceramides and amino acids to help soften and hydrate the skin.  This makes a great day and night cream and feels so light yet hydrating on the skin. This is my favourite moisturiser from the range the texture is beautiful!

BUTTER DRENCH™ Restorative Rich Cream £32

This is a dream for very dry skin types, you only have to look at the buttery texture of this cream to see how luxurious it will feel on the skin. Enriched with shea butter, peptides, ceramides and amino acids with subtle notes of Bergamot and Eucalyptus. I've enjoyed using this as a night cream but is way too much from my combination skin in the day.

TRUE OASIS™ Oil-Free Replenishing Gel Cream £29

This is a gel cream, oil free moisturiser so great for an oily skin or someone who doesn't like the feel of a richer cream on the face and its smells and feels so fresh! Also containing the peptides, ceramides and amino acids.

SMART COMBINATION™ Smoothing Lightweight Emulsion £30

This is an oil free lotion moisturiser for normal/combination skin types using the mineral moisture technology, personally I'm slightly on the fence with this one, I tried it and even though it did feel nice it soaked into the skin really well I then felt I wanted to apply something else over the top, I think this would maybe suit teens or men who perhaps have never used a moisturiser but could do with hydrating the skin or even for someone really dry you could layer this underneath your normal moisturiser for an extra boost of hydration. Maybe to use with SPF whilst on holiday in a hot country too but personally wouldn't really find a place in my everyday routine.

So all in all a really good range with quality ingredients at reasonable prices, I have seen that they will be adding to the range so I'm looking forward to that. This seems to be their initial launch of the basics so all thats missing for me within that is an eye cream and I think a toner. A toner's job is to rebalance the skin after using water to remove your cleanser so no matter what your using to cleanse if your removing it with water you should be toning, but apart from that I'm really happy with the range.
